Thank you for your interest in Project Aleta.

After spending several months planning, we have finally started to construct our prototype. We were very eager to begin, and we would like to thank our mentor Chris Fehring for donating some of the electrical components we used.

In order to run preliminary tests, we connected the electronic lock to a relay. Our next step will be to attach the barcode scanner. Using this set up, we hope to test how fast the lock can be opened so we can compare it to existing locker solutions. We would like to thank our electrical mentor, Leo Abramovitz, for answering our questions and helping us troubleshoot when our circuit did not work.

This video shows our lock opening when we complete the circuit. This is the first step to creating a more complicated design.

COVID - 19

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak we are going to school electronically for several weeks. During this time we are unable to physically work on our prototype. Instead we will be researching materials and competition in addition to working on our website. Thank you for you patience.

Sincerely,

The Project Aleta Team
