new lockers for a new generation

A smarter way to buy smart lockers. Project Aleta is designing a cheaper and easier way to integrate smart technology into schools.

51%

of students think it takes too long to open their locker

Half

of students never use their locker

36%

of students have trouble using a combination lock

What are Smart Lockers?

Instead of using a traditional combination lock, smart lockers use technology such as barcode scanners, fingerprint readers, and RFID chip scanners to secure possesions in a locker. Traditionally, installing smart lockers require lockers to be replaced entirely which is costly. Project Aleta knows there is a better way.

STEM Marin

Our project is part of STEM Marin, a program at San Marin High School for students interested in exploring science and technology through project based learning.

According to a survey of San Marin Students:

The survey was conducted from 1/13/20 to 1/23/20. It was advertised using posters and in class announcements. It was optional for students to fill out.
